The Shulman Law Group, LLC (« the Firm, » « we, » « us, » or « our ») respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect information when you visit s-lawgroup.com, including its Spanish-language pages (the « Website »), or contact us through it.
This policy covers information gathered through the Website and related online communications. Information you share with us as a client, after an attorney-client relationship is formed, is also protected by our professional duty of confidentiality under the New Jersey Rules of Professional Conduct and any engagement agreement.
By using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or submit information through it.
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using the Website, submitting a form, emailing us or calling us does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when the Firm agrees in writing to represent you.
Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive details about your immigration matter, such as immigration history, criminal records, or upcoming hearing or filing deadlines, through the Website or by unencrypted email. We will treat what you send with care, but we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is secure or privileged. If you have an urgent matter, such as a detention or an imminent court date, please call us at 201-773-0100.
3. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you fill out our contact or consultation request forms, email us, or call us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your preferred language and how you would like to be contacted
- Details you choose to include about your legal question or situation
- Any other information you choose to send us
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Your IP address and approximate location (city or region)
- Browser type, device type and operating system
- Pages you view, time spent on them, links you click, and the page that referred you to us
- Dates and times of your visits
Information from others. We may receive information about you from referral sources, such as another attorney, a family member or a community organization, and from advertising and analytics partners, as described in Section 5.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and schedule consultations by phone, video or in person
- Check for conflicts of interest before we agree to represent anyone
- Provide legal services if you become a client
- Communicate with you in your preferred language
- Operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website
- Understand how visitors find and use the Website, and measure our advertising
- Send you updates about immigration law or Firm news, if you ask to receive them (you can opt out at any time)
- Comply with our legal and professional obligations, and protect our rights
We do not use information you submit about your immigration status to report you to any government agency. We share information with government agencies only as described in Section 6.
5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
The Website uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help the Website work and help us understand how it is used.
We use the following tools on the Website:

When you submit a form, the Website also saves your entries in your browser for the rest of that browsing session, so that our measurement tools can confirm the submission. They are removed when you close the browser tab.
These tools may collect your IP address, device details and browsing activity on the Website. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Website may not work properly. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and limit personalized ads through Microsoft ad settings, Google Ad Settings and the Digital Advertising Alliance. The Website does not currently respond to « Do Not Track » browser signals. Where state law requires it, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who help us run the Website and our practice, such as web hosting, form processing, email, analytics, advertising, scheduling and case management vendors. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- People involved in your matter, if you become a client and authorize it, such as interpreters, translators, co-counsel or experts.
- Government agencies and courts, such as USCIS, the Department of State, or the immigration courts, only when needed to pursue your case and with your authorization as a client.
- Legal requirements, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of the Firm, our clients or others, consistent with our professional duties.
- Business transfers, if the Firm merges with or transfers its practice to another firm, subject to the Rules of Professional Conduct.
7. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Website and limits on who can access it. No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Inquiries from people who do not become clients are kept as long as needed to respond and to check for conflicts of interest. Client files are kept for the periods required by law and the New Jersey Rules of Professional Conduct, and then securely destroyed.
8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You can contact us at any time to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of marketing emails, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us
- Opt out of targeted advertising, as described in Section 5
Residents of certain states, including New Jersey, Connecticut and California, may have additional rights under their state privacy laws, where those laws apply to the Firm. These may include the right to get a copy of your data in a portable format, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on your request.

We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. Some requests may be limited where we must keep information to meet legal or professional obligations, such as file-retention and conflict-checking rules. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may contact your state Attorney General.
9. Children, Other Websites and International Visitors
Children. The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Parents or guardians may contact us about a child’s immigration matter, such as a family petition, DACA or Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. If you believe a child has sent us information directly through the Website, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites. The Website links to other sites, including government sites such as USCIS and our Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information.
International visitors. The Firm is based in the United States. If you visit the Website from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change, we may also post a notice on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
